I signed up for the Chicago color run months ago, and when I signed up for it, I was so excited to actually do something fit and active, and add it onto my list of accomplishments. When most people think of me, I’m sure they aren’t thinking ‘5k Runner.’ I wanted to prove people wrong.
Then I got lazy.
Then I got ‘too stressed’ over school work.
Then I sprained my ankle.
Then, today, while I was watching Sex and the City and drooling over Sarah Jessica Parker’s perfect 2002 stomach, it hit me on the head: DUH YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE TRAINING FOR A RACE, YOU COULD BE LIKE THIS BY NOW!
And I was like, “oh, yeah. that.”
When I sprained my ankle, my dad told me that no matter what, I have to do the race. Even if I walk across the finish line, I just have to finish. And I plan on doing that.
SO I’M BACK, because I need motivation, and I can’t do this alone and I want perfect-sarah-jessica-parker-2002-abs (SOMEDAY).
